In some instances, the organizer will hold an invitation-only event. Attendees can join the private event on EventX by account login. Attendees who use EventX for the first time to attend the event can simply fill in the email for account login which will skip the password set-up.
Reminder: Attendees can only enter the event 15 minutes before the event starts.
There are two scenarios for attending a private event by account login.
Note: Once an attendee enters the email to join the event in the beginning, an account is automatically created for them. There is no need to do the signup process.
- Scenario 1: The event has not yet started
* 1.1 Event without registration

- 1.1.2 For attendees who logged in EventX account before

Scenario 1:The event has not yet started
1.1 Event without registration
1.1.1 For attendees who are first-time joining event on EventX
The attendee receives an invitation email from the organizer. 
By clicking the action button from the email, it will link to the event landing directly.
Enter the email then click the "Join Now" button on the event landing page.
It will immediately load the Enter Event page. Notice the profile icon on the upper right which means you are logged into the EventX account. Enter Event button is greyed out when the event has not started yet.
The attendee will immediately receive an event confirmation email with an action button that will link to the event landing page. The attendee is required to log in EventX account before entering the event during the event live period.
1.1.2 For attendees who logged in to EventX account before
The attendee receives an invitation email from the organizer.
By clicking the action button from the email, it will link to the event landing directly.
Enter the email then click the "Join Now" button on the event landing page.
When the system recognizes the email address logged in to EventX before, it will direct the attendees to the EventX account login page. Attendees may click the "Email Me A Login Link" button to receive a link for login EventX account directly by email.
If the attendees set up the account password before, they can fill in the password to log in to the account or click "Forgot Password" to reset their account password.
After clicking the "Email Me A Login Link" button from the EventX login page. You will be directed to the page for confirming the email address to get the login link. Click the "Send Login Link" button and check your email.
Attendees will receive an email with the subject "Here's your login link". Click the "Log In Now" button.
Note: For security reasons, the login link will only be used once and expires after 15 minutes.
Once the account is logged out, the user needs to log in again using the same process.
It will direct the attendees to the event landing page with account login. Notice the profile icon on the upper right which means you are logged into the EventX account. Enter Event button is greyed out when the event has not started yet.

1.2.1 For attendees who are first-time joining event on EventX

After clicking the action button, the attendee will be directed to the landing page.
Enter the invited email then click the "Join Now" button on the event landing page
After the attendee successfully enters the invited email, the registration/ticketing window will pop up.
After the attendee selects the ticketing or submits the registration, there will be a pop up message showing "You have registered for the event" while the "Enter Event" Button will be greyed out. Attendees can only access the event site 15 minutes before the event start.
The attendee will immediately receive an event confirmation email with the action button that will link to the event landing page. There will be a ticket summary in the email if attendees select a ticket for event registration.
1.2.2 For attendees who logged in to EventX account before
Enter the invited email then click the "Join Now" button on the event landing page

There will be a ticket summary in the email if attendees selected a ticket for event registration.
Scenario 2: During the event live period
2.1 Event without registration
2.1.1 For attendees who are first-time joining event on EventX
The attendees will receive an event invitation email from the organizer.
By clicking the action button from the email, it will link to the event landing directly.

By clicking the "Join Now" button, attendees will be directed and logged in to the event site.
The attendee will immediately receive an event confirmation email with the action button that will link to the event landing page. The attendee is required to log in to the EventX account before entering the event during the event live period.
2.1.2 For attendees who logged in to EventX account before
Enter the invited email then click the "Join Now" button on the event landing page
When the system recognizes the email address logged in to EventX before, it will direct the attendees to the EventX account login page. Attendees may click the "Email Me A Login Link" button to receive a link for login to EventX account directly by email.
If the attendees set up the account password before, they can fill in the password to log in to the account or click "Forgot Password" to reset their account password.
After clicking the "Email Me A Login Link" button from the EventX login page. You will be directed to the page for confirming the email address to get the login link. Click the "Send Login Link" button and check your email.

2.2 Event requires ticketing or registration
2.2.1 For attendees who are first-time joining event on EventX
The attendee receives an invitation email from the organizer.
By clicking the action button from the email, it will link to the event landing directly.
Enter your invited email and click the "Join Now" button.
After clicking Join Now, the registration/ticketing window will pop up. 
After submitting the registration, the attendee will be directed and logged in to the event site.
The attendee will immediately receive an event confirmation email with the action button which will link to the event landing page. There will be a ticket summary in the email if attendees select a ticket for event registration.
2.2.2 For attendees who logged in to EventX account before
Enter the email then click the "Join Now" button on the event landing page
When the system recognizes the email address logged in to EventX before, it will direct the attendees to the EventX account login page. Attendees may click the "Email Me A Login Link" button to receive a link for login to EventX account directly by email.
If the attendees set up the account password before, they can fill in the password to log in to the account or click "Forgot Password" to reset their account password.

1. After the attendee submits the event registration, they can log in to their EventX account via https://portal.eventx.io/
Attendees may click the "Email Me A Login Link" button to receive a link for login to EventX account directly by email.
If the attendees set up the account password before, they can fill in the password to log in to the account or click "Forgot Password" to reset their account password.
After clicking the "Email Me A Login Link" button from the EventX login page. You will be directed to the page for entering the email address to get the login link. Click the "Send Login Link" button and check your email.
Attendees will receive an email with the subject "Here's your login link". Click the "Log In Now" button.

Once the account is logged out, the user needs to log in again using the same process.
The registered event will appear under the "Attending" tab after logging in to the account.
The attendee can go to the event landing page by clicking the event on the list.
The attendee can click "Enter Event" on the landing page to join the event during the event live period.
2. If attendees fill in an email which is not under the invitation list on the event landing page, there will be an alert to inform "This Event is by invitation only."
